FAQ’s

1. Who can use InnoCaption?

FEDERAL LAW PROHIBITS ANYONE BUT REGISTERED USERS WITH HEARING LOSS FROM USING INTERNET PROTOCOL (IP) CAPTIONED TELEPHONES WITH THE CAPTIONS TURNED ON. InnoCaption is a certified IP captioned telephone service provider. InnoCaption uses a live stenographer to generate captions. The stenographer generates captions of what the other party to the call says. These captions are then sent to your phone. There is a cost for each minute of captions generated, paid from a federally administered fund.

2. How do I activate HD Voice on my Android phone?

From a Home screen, tap the Apps icon. Tap Settings and then Advanced Calling. Tap Activate Advanced Calling. To continue, review the disclaimer then tap Activate. Review the added add-ons and the removed add-ons (if any) then tap Continue. Select OK after you the message “Congratulations! You now have Advanced Calling” appears. Restart your device to complete activation.

3. Why is there a number in a red circle on top of the InnoCaption Icon?

When you have a voicemail, a number inside the red circle will appear, showing how many messages you currently have.

4. How do I connect to my InnoCaption voicemail?

To retrieve messages on your InnoCaption voicemail, press down the voicemail icon underneath the keypad. You can also press the # sign and then hit the Call button.
