Yes. Our privacy and compliance procedures are regulated and audited by the FCC, and we apply HIPAA standards to our security measures. No call audio logged: when you use the AI captioning option, no call audio is logged for machine learning or any other purpose. One-sided listening: our stenographers are trained professionals subject to stringent compliance requirements. When you use the stenographer option, the captioner can only listen to and transcribe the other side of the conversation; they do not hear what you are saying. (The only exception is conference calls, when the stenographer hears everyone on the line.) Private transcripts: call transcripts cannot be accessed or retrieved by InnoCaption or our staff. Only you can access, save, and restore your call logs, since they are stored on your device or backed up to your personal iCloud or Google account when you enable auto backup.
InnoCaption is for anyone in the United States who has difficulty hearing or speaking on the phone, whether you need real-time captions to follow along or text-to-speech tools to respond.
Federal law prohibits anyone but registered users with hearing loss from using Internet Protocol (IP) Captioned Telephone Service with the captions turned on. IP CTS may use a live communications assistant and/or automated speech recognition to generate captions. There is a cost for each minute of captions generated, paid from a federally administered fund. There are also eligibility requirements and a cost, paid by a federally administered fund, for each minute of IP Relay service.
